Pharmaceutical pricing, denominated in BTC.
Six tracked molecules. One BTC lock at the start of the month. One live spot rate. The data shows what the same private-pay US prescription basket costs in sats, before and after the dollar moves underneath it.

Why This Matters
Swiss private-pay context
Swiss buyers regularly hold a non-trivial fraction of liquid net worth in BTC. When pricing a six-month Tirzepatide or Avanafil regimen, they want to know the sats outlay, not the franc outlay. Same molecule, different numeraire, very different planning model.
UAE crypto-pay rails
UAE-resident buyers operate in an environment where dirham, USD, and BTC settle side by side. International pharmacies serving the Gulf increasingly quote in both fiat and BTC. The drift column shows when a BTC-denominated quote stops being a good proxy for the USD quote it was derived from.
US crypto-native buyers
A growing slice of US private-pay buyers settle large discretionary spend in BTC. Cash-pay prescriptions are discretionary by definition. In BTC-denominated terms, the same US private-pay markup looks even harsher when BTC is strengthening, and looks softer when BTC is weakening. The numbers above make that visible.
Editorial sample, not a recommendation
Inclusion is editorial. This site does not sell, recommend, or dispense medication. International personal-use import rules vary by country and drug classification. Consult a licensed healthcare provider before any prescription decision.
Methodology, BTC Edition
Spot lock at month start
The BTC/USD reference is captured at 00:00 UTC on the first calendar day of the month and held flat for the entire month. The June 2026 lock is $66,200 per BTC, effective from 2026-06-01.
Recalibration cadence
On the 1st of each calendar month the spot rate is recaptured and the BTC-denominated prices reset. The next recalibration runs at 00:00 UTC on 2026-07-01. Between locks the USD-denominated prices are the source of truth.
Live drift
The live BTC/USD spot rate is fetched from CoinGecko once per minute on this page. The "BTC drift" column shows the gap between the live rate and the monthly lock. Positive drift means BTC has weakened against the dollar since the lock, so the same drug now costs more sats.
Data sources

What this edition is not
This page is not investment advice. It is not a recommendation to buy Bitcoin, hold Bitcoin, or use Bitcoin as a payment rail. It is a measurement exercise. The same molecule, the same supply chain, the same retail markup, viewed through a non-USD numeraire.
What this edition is not, part two
This page does not recommend any pharmacy, any generic, or any cross-border purchase. International personal-use import rules vary by country and drug classification. Consult a licensed healthcare provider before any prescription decision.
Publisher's note. Rx Price Tracker is funded by PHARMAX, one of the international pharmacies whose prices we publish on this page. PHARMAX does not control which molecules we cover, which competitors we include, or which corrections we issue. Every price observation links to its source URL and capture date. The data is reproducible. We track the gap because pricing transparency works in any direction.
