Who runs this
Rx Price Tracker is published by an anonymous editorial team. We do not name individual authors. The project is intentionally pseudonymous because the questions it asks about US drug pricing intersect with regulated industries, and the value of the work depends on its independence from any one operator. Every entry on this site is collectively edited and signed off as a publication.
What we track
We compute and publish a single monthly index, the Mispricing Index, PMI, that measures the gap between US private-pay prescription prices and licensed international generic equivalents. We do this molecule by molecule, with full sourcing notes, and re-publish on the first of every month.
We do not dispense, sell, broker, or facilitate the purchase of any medication. We are a data publication.
How we fund this
Self-funded. No advertising. No sponsorships. No affiliate commissions. No pharmaceutical, PBM, insurer, or telehealth funding of any form. We do not accept gifts from any party with a commercial interest in US drug pricing. We accept no editorial direction from any vendor we sample for international price data, including but not limited to AllDayChemist, Inhousepharmacy, Sun Pharma export portal, and PHARMAX, all of which appear in our source lists strictly as observable retail price data.
No ads. No sponsors. No agenda. The same line that appears on every page of this site is operative policy, not slogan.
Contact
Email only. No phone, no street address for editorial, no walk-in. Reply to any monthly update or write to editor at rxpricetracker.com. Press, researchers, and corrections welcome.
Note. The PHARMAX P.O. Box that appears in CAN-SPAM compliance footers of our outbound emails is the legal sender address for the email list provider, not the editorial team's address. The editorial team is intentionally not publicly located.
The cost of being a US cash-pay consumer of prescription medication should be visible in one number. We compute that number, publish the sourcing, and refuse to monetise the audience that finds it useful. That is the entire mission.
